3 FUN AND EASY DIY IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR OLD JEANS 'NEW'



Throwing away your old jeans because they are not in trend now? DON'T do that!!!! Here are 3 FUN and EASY ideas to renew your old jeans. All you need is your effort and some materials.  


1. Distressed Boyfriend Jeans


Distressed boyfriend jeans is the key thing to achieving a chic and off-duty look.




Materials you will need:
1.  Any jeans of your choice
2.  Tweezer
3.  Scissor
4.  Sandpaper
5.  Pencil

Step 1: Mark the areas on your jeans that you wished to distress with a pencil. 

Step 2: Sandpaper over the areas for a worn out look. This step is optional. 




Step 3: Cut straight, horizontal slits over the areas you want to distress. The slits should be 1/2-inch  from each other, as this will make it easier  to pull out the indigo thread. 



Step 4: Use a tweezer to pull out the indigo thread. 



Step 5: Once you've cut several areas and have pulled the indigo threads out, toss your jeans into the wash machine. Ensure that you wash the jeans with cold water as it will help to further distress the jeans.

And VIOLA!!! Your very own distressed jeans is made!





2. Pollock Drip Painted Jeans
This is probably the easiest DIY jeans out of the 3. Pollock drip painted jeans is a fun and easy DIY for you to express your creativity with paint. 



Materials you will need:
1. Jeans of your choice
1. Paints ( Any colour of your choice)
2. Paint Brush

Step: All you have to do is to dip your brush into the paint and lightly splatter that paint over your jeans! However, this DIY can get a little messy. You should probably do it outdoor or cover your work areas with newspaper if you do not wish to have your floor to be covered with paint!

3.  Dotty Jeans
Everyone knows that polka dots can help to make a cute yet chic outfit. This DIY will definitely help to complete your outfit!


Materials you will need:
1. Jeans
2. A5 Cardboard
3. Paint
4. Paint Brush or Stamp
5. Circle Shaped Hole Puncher

Step 1: Make some holes in your cardboard with the hole puncher. The hole puncher can be of any circle shape size of your preference. Preferably, you should keep each hole about 5cm apart to ensure that the holes are spaced out and cramped together. However, you can go ahead if you prefer the holes to be closer. 


Step 2: Once you are ready with your cardboard, place the cardboard over your jeans and paint the holes with a paint brush or stamp.
